My name is Fiene, I am originally from Germany and am currently a PhD student studying the pied tamarins here at Jersey Zoo. Although working with animals and ultimately helping them in the battle against extinction is a very rewarding thing to do, as a PhD student I often run on information overload and feel mentally drained. To relax and unwind at the end of the day, I often resort to knotting and creating something fun. As a PhD is also an expensive undertaking, I decided to put two and two together and try sell my creations with all the profit going towards my project.
