Working from her pottery studio in St Brelade, Laura handcrafts small batch porcelain ceramics, using an age-old pottery technique: slip casting.
Made from porcelain and featuring Seymour Tower located in Jersey, Channel Islands. When illuminated with a tea light candle, silhouettes of seagulls magically appear from within, bringing the iconic landmark to life, by candle light. The surface is sanded, polished and deliberately left unglazed to showcase the tactile and raw, natural beauty of the porcelain. The vessel is then fired at high temperatures in a pottery kiln, to transform the clay into a strong, translucent ceramic; perfect for candle light.
Measures approximately 7cm high and 8cm diameter.
Includes a branded gift box and tea light candle. Minor imperfections may occur due to its handmade nature. This adds to the charm and character of each unique piece.
