Maker: Anthea and David’s Crafts
Anthea says “We are a ‘husband and wife team’ who both like crafting. I have been crafting for many years and since retiring, my husband found he needed something to fill his time, apart from household chores! He has always been interested in working with wood which is what made him take up wood turning and now he is hooked!
Many years ago my husband bought me a knitting machine and I absolutely loved it. I then went on to a computerised knitting machine and produced many garments for my family and for sale and each year entered my work in the Jersey Eisteddfod. I have also been a member of B.A.D.F.A. for 25 years, this is where my love for decorative art comes from. I have attended various art classes at Highlands College and a number of years ago, I also produced numerous 3D decoupage pictures which I sold at Craft Fairs and other outlets. I now really enjoy Flat Decoupage on glass, wood, ceramic etc.”
