‘Mon Vie’ is a common term of endearment in Jèrriais, also known as, Jersey French, Jersey’s traditional language, which was the predominant language spoken across the island until the early 1900s. Mon Vie is Jersey French ‘Man Vyi’, which is the equivalent to the French ‘Mon Vieux’ (My old friend). However, the literal translation from Jèrriais is simply ‘my old’. Nevertheless, the meaning behind the phrase is the same; A term of endearment spoken to friends and loved ones, alike.

The set includes three handmade porcelain trees, left unglazed to showcase the natural beauty of the clay.
- One large porcelain tree, hand-painted in an abstract design from a palette of stained porcelain slip. Each hand painted tree is entirely unique* Approximately 15cm(h)x8cm(w)
- One medium white, raw porcelain tree. Approximately 12cm(h)x6cm(w)
- One small, blue stained porcelain tree. Approximately 8.5cm(h)x5cm(w)
- One handcrafted oak stand with three slots. Approx 15×4.5x2cm
When displayed, the porcelain decoration will stand approximately 17cm tall.
