The wooden wicks we use produce a lovely flame and a subtle crackle. After the initial burn, the wick should be trimmed before lighting each time, this can easily be done by snapping off the burnt wood. Approximate burn time of 30 hours. Nicolle Tower Illustration

The hexagonal Nicolle Tower was originally built as a folly, then during the Occupation of Jersey it was adapted to include a new floor which was used as an observation post. The unusual dimensions of the Tower and it’s amazing history are what make it so unique.

Dor Beetle Studies – Original pen and ink drawing in hand-painted frame. Dor Beetles are a beautiful large shiny beetle native to Northern Europe including the British Isles. They are a relative of the scarab beetle and a type of dung beetle, essentially they are nature’s recyclers! These ink studies were undertaken in advance of Ian Roll’s Pitt Street chewing gum project, where you can see my “street art” version of these Dor beetles.
