    • Eco-printed Silk Scarf with Eucalyptus leaves

      £50.00

Handmade eco-printed silk scarf. In order to coax the colours from the leaves onto the silk, Emma pretreats the silk and then rolls the leaves up in the silk before adding heat. The water, time of year and everything else they are bundled with will all influence the final colours and as such are hard to replicate. They capture a moment in time and place. Scarves are best hand washed with a ph neutral washing liquid and iron when slightly damp.

Dimensions W 40cm x L 145cm, colours may vary from those on screen

    • Nicolle Tower Illustration

      £50.00£100.00

Original, hand drawn illustrations of one of Jersey’s quirky landmarks, Nicolle Tower. Drawn with professional Rotring pen and ink and signed by the artist, each frame has been hand painted matt black.

The hexagonal Nicolle Tower was originally built as a folly, then during the Occupation of Jersey it was adapted to include a new floor which was used as an observation post. The unusual dimensions of the Tower and it’s amazing history are what make it so unique.

    • Dor Beetle Studies – Original

      £65.00

      * Exclusive to Made in Jersey *

Dor Beetle Studies – Original pen and ink drawing in hand-painted frame. Dor Beetles are a beautiful large shiny beetle native to Northern Europe including the British Isles. They are a relative of the scarab beetle and a type of dung beetle, essentially they are nature’s recyclers! These ink studies were undertaken in advance of Ian Roll’s Pitt Street chewing gum project, where you can see my “street art” version of these Dor beetles.

Two original framed silver ink illustrations of coins from Jersey’s Celtic coin hoard. The largest hoard of Celtic coins ever found, the coins are works of art in their own right, as well as telling the tale of the people that lived in Britain and France 2000 years ago.

Stippling technique uses thousands of tiny dots to create each larger drawing. Professionally framed in black wood with mirror plate fittings, each drawing is approximately 6cm in diameter
