Dor Beetle Studies – Original pen and ink drawing in hand-painted frame. Dor Beetles are a beautiful large shiny beetle native to Northern Europe including the British Isles. They are a relative of the scarab beetle and a type of dung beetle, essentially they are nature’s recyclers! These ink studies were undertaken in advance of Ian Roll’s Pitt Street chewing gum project, where you can see my “street art” version of these Dor beetles.

2 x professionally framed, original illustrations, each one is hand drawn in silver ink on black acrylic painted paper. Stippling technique uses thousands of tiny dots to create each larger drawing.
