This bottle stopper is made from layers of dyed wood, this gives a really nice finish to the piece. The wood is glued in the same way as the layers of a skateboard.
It starts life as a block of wood and is then turned into the final shape on my lathe. It comes with a black gift box.
They measure on average 145mm long.

Dominic tells us “My woodturning journey began in May 2019 when I attended a craft fair in the UK and I was fortunate enough to make a simple wooden pen on one of the stalls and from that moment I was hooked. As soon as I got back to Jersey I immediately ordered my first lathe, tools, chucks and a large volume of wooden blanks. I began to look into the concept of using materials other than wood for my products and I now make a variety of giftware including wooden bowls, wooden pens, resin pens with encased stamps, bottle stoppers, keyrings, Christmas decorations etc.”
