Chicken Valley Wet Plate Style Print

This mounted print of the Jersey road sign ‘La Vallée des Poulets Libérés’ is somewhat of a unique piece. In the summer of 2019, the fictitious spoof road sign appeared along La Route de l’Aleval, known as the Old German Road, or chicken valley, created by the Anonymous Arts Group. No sooner had it appeared, referring to the feral chicken population which could be found roaming the valley, than it vanished presumed stolen, never to be seen again. Eco-printed Silk Scarf with Eucalyptus leaves
£50.00Handmade eco-printed silk scarf. In order to coax the colours from the leaves onto the silk, Emma pretreats the silk and then rolls the leaves up in the silk before adding heat. The water, time of year and everything else they are bundled with will all influence the final colours and as such are hard to replicate. They capture a moment in time and place. Scarves are best hand washed with a ph neutral washing liquid and iron when slightly damp.
